The word female empowerment is omnipresent and is particularly in focus on International Women's Day (March 8). We want to celebrate this special day with you and today we're taking a closer look at the topic of female empowerment. We'll also tell you what the topic means to us personally and how you can "empower" yourself.
The Importance of Female Empowerment
Empower means "to empower", "to strengthen" or "to enable". Female empowerment can be described as an entire movement: in society, it is about making the inequality of opportunity in the job market, the income gap and various prejudices and all types of discrimination against women publicly visible and combating them.
This is what female empowerment means to us:
Women should be encouraged to go their own way and to break with traditional behavioral patterns and clichés, for example when choosing a job. They should live self-determined and self-confident lives. It is important to mention here: No matter what you decide - whether you want to be successful as an entrepreneur, craftswoman or mother - everything is okay. Because it is your life and your decision.
That's why on a personal level, female empowerment is all about strengthening your self-confidence and self-esteem. If these two are strong, you will be able to live your life independently and self-determinedly.
In order for you to feel really good and to go your own way with confidence, your relationship with your body is also crucial.
More self-confidence with body positivity
The more comfortable you feel in your own body, the more you radiate this feeling to the outside world. It doesn't matter what shape your body is. This is also part of female empowerment: you no longer let others dictate what your body should look like. The only thing that matters is that you are happy with it.
Although there is now a wonderful development that encourages women to love their bodies as they are, it is not always easy. Despite this progress, we are still often shown what is right and what is wrong. The tabloid press discusses the body shapes of stars almost every day and wants to tell us what a "normal" body should look like and what is beautiful and what is not. In addition, we are practically invited to compare ourselves with others on social media every day.
How can you develop a healthy image of yourself? Today, we are far too concerned with superficial things - including our bodies. We stare at the scales, go to the plastic surgeon and go on a diet. But none of these things automatically make you feel better in your body .
The most important thing is to switch off all external factors and to get close to yourself and your body again. You are beautiful - just the way you are! Your worth and your success do not depend on your body.
To strengthen your body positivity, you can try the following tips:
Appreciate everything your body does for you!
Your body is a miracle. It does a lot of work for you every day. Take just once your feet, which carry you through the day and the occasional long night. Your body makes it possible for you to pursue all the activities you love. Be grateful to it for that every day.
Stop comparing yourself with others
In our social media-driven world, where we can constantly compare ourselves, this is not so easy. To give your body love, you have to stop these comparisons and eliminate everything from your life that makes comparison possible. Simply switch off social media - at least for a while. You could set a few days a week where you don't look at it at all or limit your consumption to 10 minutes a day. Also unfollow all channels that invite you to constantly compare yourself.
Take time to get to know your body again
To reconnect with your physical body and love it as it is, you need to spend time with it. Make it a routine to do something nice for it every day. This way you will get to know and love yourself and your body. Try standing naked in front of the mirror and saying: "I love myself and my body and my body deserves all the love I can give it." Positive affirmations work when you repeat them regularly.
Time for some me-time
Another way you can take time for your body is through soothing care rituals. This can be a long shower or a long bath. As already mentioned, a daily ritual is also good for connecting with your body. Our Me-Time Set is made for just that.
It contains everything you need for your daily portion of me-time. It consists of a complete care ritual for your face.
You start with the Face Wash & Peeling Gel and gently cleanse your skin. When you massage the gel into your skin, you can feel the texture of your skin with your fingertips. The subsequent Face Tonic ensures deep pore cleanliness.
Then massage the Sensitive Oil Serum into your skin, which will provide it with plenty of moisture. Smile at yourself in the mirror and give yourself and your body some self-love. This will immediately put you in a good mood. As a further care step, you can also apply the Sensitive 24h Cream .
Give yourself enough time for this daily self-love ritual. Notice every little thing on your face and strengthen your self-confidence.
