What does Clean Beauty mean?

They check the products and ensure that, for example, products are actually free of harmful ingredients and that they meet certain ethical and environmentally friendly standards. For example, there are certifications that ensure that the products have not been tested on animals, that they contain natural ingredients and that they are packaged in an environmentally friendly way. These seals and certifications give you the guarantee that a product is actually what it claims to be. This way you can compare different products and choose the one that meets your requirements.

These include, for example, the use of natural ingredients, the avoidance of harmful chemicals and a sustainable manufacturing process. The Natrue seal gives you the assurance that the care product consists of natural and sustainable ingredients.
2. The Vegan Society is a British organisation that campaigns for animal rights and monitors that no animal ingredients are used. The Vegan Society seal assures you that you are using an animal-friendly and vegan product.
3. Climate Partner is a German company that focuses on climate protection, particularly the CO2 footprint of manufacturing, and ensures sustainable production. This includes, for example, avoiding waste and efficient energy use. With the Climate Partner seal, you can be sure that you are using a sustainable care product whose production is environmentally friendly.
4. Dermatest is also a German company and checks the skin compatibility of a product. Products with the Dermatest seal must have a high level of skin compatibility and have been tested by independent dermatologists. The Dermatest seal gives you the assurance that you are using a product that is also suitable for sensitive skin.
5. PETA approved is a seal from the animal rights organization PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). Animal testing is generally prohibited in the EU. With the PETA Approved seal, we show that our standards go beyond this and that we neither carry out nor commission or accept animal testing, even across international borders.

Clean beauty is an important trend that encourages us to take a closer look at the ingredients and production of our beauty and care products.
