Especially in the cold season, our skin is subjected to greater stress than usual due to a variety of environmental influences. The currently fluctuating temperatures, dry heating air and the constant blowing of the nose due to the cool wind or the current flu epidemic cause dry, red and often cracked skin on the face and hands. We'll tell you here how you can use our products to combat the dry air and what else you can do to replenish the skin's moisture balance!

Do not use too many care products

Reduce your skincare routine to a minimum in winter to avoid overstimulating your skin. We often mean well and over-care for our skin. Overloading often results in blemishes, irritations, and dry patches that just won't go away. Concentrate on the most important care steps and use the products your skin is used to. Drink lots of water and tea

Our skin loses moisture particularly quickly in winter. The constantly changing weather conditions and the drying air from indoor heating put additional strain on it. That's why it's especially important to drink enough water in winter. This will plump up your skin from the inside and replenish your moisture levels. The more you drink, the better your skin will be hydrated and won't dry out as quickly. We know how difficult that can be sometimes. Often you just forget to drink regularly.

Therefore our tip:

Start your day with lemon water in the morning. Squeeze half a lemon into a glass of lukewarm water. This way, you will drink around 250 ml of liquid as soon as you get up, while strengthening your immune system with the vitamin C it contains, stimulating digestion and activating fat burning. You can also set a timer so that you are reminded to drink a glass of water every hour. For more variety, you can also drink unsweetened tea instead of water every now and then.

The right winter care routine

Always start your routine with cleansing as the basis for your care. In winter, it is enough to clean your skin with lukewarm water in the morning. This way you avoid losing the skin's protective lipids. In addition, the skin is less exposed to environmental influences at night, so it is enough to clean the sweat, dead skin cells and excess sebum that has built up overnight with water. In the evening, you should definitely use a cleansing product to remove dirt and makeup residue.

If you are outside during the day and the sun is shining, you should definitely think about sun protection, even in winter. UV rays are harmful to the skin even in cold temperatures.
